Asset Management & Association Services (AMAS) is seeking a mission-driven Finance Director to lead financial strategy and operations across a portfolio of 19 nonprofit and association-based organizations, including REALTOR® associations, foundations, and a real estate school.
This role is ideal for a collaborative financial leader who is passionate about supporting nonprofit missions through strong stewardship, transparency, and strategic insight. You’ll partner closely with Association Executives and volunteer Boards to ensure financial sustainability and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee full-cycle financial operations across multiple nonprofit entities, including reporting, audits, and payroll
Guide Boards and leadership with clear, actionable financial insights, budgets, and forecasts
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and IRS regulations (Form 990, audits, 1099s)
Strengthen internal controls and implement efficient, scalable financial processes
Manage cash flow and investments in alignment with each organization’s mission and policies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master's degree or CPA designation highly preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit, association management, or real estate-related environment.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit financial practices, compliance, and reporting
Skilled communicator with experience presenting to Boards and committees
Collaborative leader with a passion for mission-driven work and organizational impact
Proficiency with financial accounting software (e.g., Bill.com, Xero, ADP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive process improvements and system implementations.
